Project fulfillment designers are the fuel that keeps this machine running, they’re responsible for constructing, designing, editing and delivering websites to all our design plan customers. Nuvosite built the infrastructure (our builder & tools) that allows delivery of beautifully designed yet practical sites to customers in days, not weeks or months (think Amazon Prime Shipping for websites). It’s the combination of your work and our infrastructure that will be directly responsible for delivering this promise to customers. Ideal candidates for this role will have some web design experience, experience working with website builders or WordPress, experience working with the public, is efficient with their time and works quickly.

In this cross-departmental position and you’ll be working closely with our design, customer support, and sales teams. This position will allow you to grow and build your skills as a web designer. It will challenge you and offer opportunities to grow into other departments or positions. If you want to be a part of the future of website design let’s talk.

  • You have:

    • 1-2 years of HTML/CSS experience
    • 3-7 years of web design experience and are excited to do customer-focused website delivery
    • Ability to turn unstructured customer content and requests into pixel-perfect web designs that work on all devices
    • Experience working on customer-focused web design teams
    • Ability to work on a customer deliverable for a few hours at a time, and then move on to a different customer’s deliverable
    • You are excited to receive feedback from a customer success manager or an art director and are equally excited to push back on design decisions you disagree with
    • You have desktop and mobile web design experience
    • Ability to manage multiple projects at once amongst the chaos and deliver a quality product on a deadline
    • Affinity for consistency, color, typography, and a keen eye for subtle details
    • Basic understanding of typography, color theory, and aesthetic design concepts
    • Ability to work quickly and efficiently and great time management skills
    • Eagerness to learn and grow in your design skill and move into other areas of the company
    • Experience working with WordPress as well as web builders like Wix, Weebly, and Squarespace
    • Able to give and receive constructive criticism (don’t be a pre-madonna!)
  • You’ll be working on things like:

    • Reading new project intake forms and interpret a customer’s ideas, design needs, and content. Our current customers are small and medium-sized businesses ranging from cafés to real estate investment firms.
    • You’ll be given all the customer’s content and preferences, as well as a website template selected by the customer. You’ll then use our Nuvo website builder (a largely WYSIWYG website editor with support for custom HTML5/CSS overrides) to put an initial website together for the customer in 1-2 hours.
    • In some cases, instead of using a theme to build a customer site, you’ll use the Nuvo builder to create a custom website layout based on the customer’s preferences and needs. Once the layout is approved you’ll install the customers content and images.
    • Communicating with new customers over the phone on project kickoff calls to go over their project and get a firm understanding of what they’re looking for, ideas they have, things they need, etc..
    • Communicating with customers during the pre-launch edits phase over the phone and via email/chat about their desired changes before launching their website. (if we’ve done our jobs right there should be any need for pre-launch edits)
    • Completing edit requests for pre-launch customers websites in a timely manner and with attention to detail.
    • Completing enhancement requests for existing customer websites in a timely manner. These changes will range from small changes to more complex customizations or design improvements.
